Just like marriage isn’t always easy and sometimes takes some work, so does cooking. I’m usually pretty proud of myself in the kitchen, and when I try new things, usually I luck out and it turns out amazing. This time around, I would say I got average results.
I found an easy recipe online from Rachael Ray and tried to adapt it a bit to make my own Shepherd’s Pie. A Shepherd’s Pie is basically some meat mixed with vegetables, topped with mashed potatoes, and then baked in the oven. It was edible, but I think it lacked flavor and I didn’t love the way it turned out with using ground beef.
Next time I try a Shepherd’s Pie, I’m going to have to figure out how to add in more flavor and I will also definitely use real chunks of meat instead of the ground beef. If I ever find a recipe that is worth sharing, I will let you know! In the meantime, if anyone personally has a good recipe for Shepherd’s Pie, please send it my way!
